December is a wonderful and blessing season for NPTU. We not only celebrate the 3^rd anniversary, but also host an Asian Presidential Summit Forum for the first time. 18 universities from 7 countries attended this APSF to discuss the future challenges Asian universities are facing to. 

Starting from Nov. 23, we had Maejo University from Thailand visited NPTU. The delegation, 19 members in total, led by Dr. Non Naprathansuk Dr. Kittipong Vuthijumnonk, is formed by the School of Administration Studies. They proposed to have exchange academic staff and students as the first step to cooperate with NPTU.

On Dec. 9^th, Prof. Dr. Kriengsak chareonwongsak, the Executive Chairman of CP-PAC together with other 6 delegates visited NPTU. Professor Dr Kriengsak is currently Honorary Chairman of the Social Science Association of Thailand, an advisor to the President of King Mongkut Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, and also the Vice Chancellor of Buriram Rachaphat University and Board of Trustee of Asian Institute of Technology (AIT).

On Dec. 10th, NPTU campus was like a small united nation. 18 universities from Russia, Japan, Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia joined together to attend the 2016 Asia Presidential Summit Forum at NPTU. Among the 48 participants, 7 are university presidents; 11 are vice presidents. The theme of the APSF is “The Rise of Asia: Globalization and the Challenges Confronting Universities in Asia”. 2 plenary talks by NPTU president prof. Mike Y. K. Guu and CTU rector Asso. Prof. Ha Thanh Toan and 14 panel talks were presented during the summit to target on topics of university cooperation: new model of international cooperation in education, research, and industry-university collaboration and the future of higher education: university strategies response to internationalization and globalization. The summit went very successful and several ideas and plans were discussed among all participants.

In addition, NPTU also signed new MOUs with Kasetsart University from Thailand, Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University from Russia, and University of Sunway from Malaysia, and renewed MOU with Daegu University from Korea at the summit forum.

NPTU keeps enhancing the international cooperation with partner universities all over the world and moving toward a renowned university in Asia!
