Charles Darwin University signs an MOU with NPTU
Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sue Carthew and Dr. Douglas Paton from Charles Darwin University signed an MOU on May 9 to jump start mutual collaboration between two universities.
CDU is an Australian public university established in 2003 through the merger of Northern Territory University (NTU) of Darwin, the Menzies School of Health Research and Centralian College of Alice Springs and it was named after Charles Darwin, the celebrated English naturalist.
Dr. Sue and Douglas visited hands on science center in the College of Science after the signing ceremony. Dean of College of Science, Dr. Sheau-Wen Lin, gave a brief presentation regarding the ideas of promoting public science through several hands on science stations including topics of aviation, life education, eco and environmental protection, and lego robots etc…. Each station is well managed by the faculty and students. Vice Chancellor had a very good impression of the center after seeing the demo of each stations performed by our students and faculty.
CDU also brings a gift for NPTU students after signing this agreement. Starting from 2017, our students will have a chance to go study at CDU through the exchange student program.
