NPTU Welcomes A Delegation of Officials from North Sarawak Department of Education

今日（5月27日），國立屏東大學迎來了由北砂教育廳官員及國中與國民型中學校長組成的台灣高等教育考察暨文化交流團。該團隊由教育廳長Mariam Monek女士率領，共有23位教育官員參加。此次訪問旨在深化兩地教育交流，特別安排了本校5位馬來西亞籍學生分享他們在屏大的生活、學習環境及入學管道，以積極拓展本校在國際上的招生版圖，並展示南台灣的獨特魅力，吸引更多國際學生。Today (May 27th), National Pingtung University welcomed a delegation of officials from the North Sarawak Department of Education, as well as principals from secondary schools and national-type secondary schools, as part of the Taiwan Higher Education Study and Cultural Exchange Tour. The delegation, led by Education Director Ms. Mariam Monek, consisted of 23 education officials. The visit aimed to deepen educational exchanges between the two regions. A special arrangement was made for five Malaysian students from our university to share their experiences regarding life and study at NPU, as well as their admission pathways. This initiative is part of our effort to expand the university’s international recruitment and showcase the unique charm of southern Taiwan to attract more international students.

今年3月份，國立屏東大學由陳永森校長領隊參加了2024砂拉越汶萊台灣高等教育展，並拜訪了多所馬來西亞獨立中學，積極推動東南亞地區的教育影響力，展現了本校對教育的熱忱與承諾。此次北砂教育團的來訪，是對本校國際化發展策略的重要回應與支持。In March of this year, National Pingtung University, led by President Robert Chen, participated in the Sarawak Education Fair and visited several Malaysian independent high schools. This effort aimed to actively enhance our educational influence in the Southeast Asian region, showcasing the university’s passion and commitment to education. The visit by the North Sarawak education delegation is a significant response and support for the university’s international development strategy.

在此次交流活動中，本校特別安排了圖書館及學生宿舍的導覽，讓訪問團了解本校所提供的豐富教學資源、優質的讀書環境以及完善的學生生活機能與安全保障。訪問團對於本校的設施與環境給予了高度評價，並期待未來有更多的合作機會。During this exchange event, the university arranged tours of the library and student dormitories, allowing the delegation to understand the abundant teaching resources, quality study environment, and comprehensive student life functions and safety measures provided by the university. The delegation highly praised the university’s facilities and environment and looked forward to more cooperation opportunities in the future.

國立屏東大學未來將持續推動國際交流與合作，為兩地學生創造更多跨國學習與成長的機會，共同培育未來社會的國際化人才。在面臨國內大學人口減少挑戰的情況下，屏東大學透過國際化策略，不僅為自身開拓了新的發展機遇，也為台灣教育的國際化進程貢獻了重要力量。National Pingtung University will continue to promote international exchanges and cooperation, creating more opportunities for cross-national learning and growth for students from both regions, jointly cultivating future international talents.
