NPTU recently made a new friend with University of the Philippines (UP) after a preliminary visit from their representatives, Dr. Mary Delia G. Tomacruz, the vice dean of student affairs and Ms. Arlene Bibiana P. Boro, a staff in the office of international affairs on March 22nd. The official MoU signing ceremony was held on April 22nd. Right after NPTU President Mike Y. K. Guu and UP President Danilo L. Concepcion signed the agreements, several future cooperation ideas and programs had been discussed and planed. Both universities are looking forward to the new chances and opportunities it will bring.
NPTU welcome the first official delegation from UP system, UP Baguio on the second day after the MoU signing ceremony. UP Baquio is one of the eight universities under the UP system. Since NPTU and UP Baquio have several common academic areas, both universities agree to develop joint programs and create more mutual benefited collaborations. Among them, the joint indigenous studies draw a lot of interests between two sides.
