NPTU students connect to the world through the 4th DHP program International Conference on “Understanding of Global Education”

The annually organized international student conference- the 4th DHP program International Conference- took place on the 19th of August at Daegu National University of Education, Korea. 5 teams out of three universities were selected to present in the 3-day meeting. The topic of this year is “Understanding of Global Education”.

DHP stands for Daegu, Hyoko, Pingtung; three partner universities already had long term cooperation before the DHP program started. Students from Taiwan, Japan, and Korea presented their images and hopes of future global education this year in the meeting. After the presentation, students and professors also had several fruitful discussions.

During the meeting, several topics related to global education were presented including Augmented Reality, Flipped Education, Multicultural Education, Gender Equality Education, Global Citizen from Daegu; The Road to Teacher, The Role of Cleaning in Education, Yutori Education, Nature School, and Foreign Language Learning in Elementary School from Hyoko; Respect Multiple Culture, Understand Global Education from Special Education, The World Through Picture Book, Understanding Energy Issues through Hands-on Education and How Boardgames Turns Learners into an Active Constructor of Meaning from Pingtung.

Dean of the Office of International Affairs, Ted Liu, said that ”Every students were well prepared for their presentation though some were a little bit nervous. Anyway, all students did great jobs. The conference is very successful. I am so proud of them.” Next year NPTU will host the 5th DHP program and keep engaging NPTU with the world!
